We currently do not have a separate kids' class, but hope to add one in the near future. We do accept children ages 12+ into both Gung Fu and Tai Chi classes.
Please send us a message or give us a call at (208) 576-4707 if you'd like to be added to our wait list.
You are never too old to start training in either class (Gung Fu or Tai Chi).
Our goal is to help you enrich your life through martial arts. We are here to help you along the way.
Yes! The slow, relaxed, intentional movements of Tai Chi have been shown to reduce stress while increasing coordination, balance, mobility, energy, and focus.
Due to its low impact and gentle stretching, Tai Chi is a great option for anyone with back / joint pain, or limitations in range of motion, balance, or mobility.
Additionally, all of the martial concepts of the Gung Fu classes are based on the internal tenets of Tai Chi.
Yes! We offer 2 weeks of free classes with no pressure, obligation, deposit, or fees of any kind. Please come try out the classes to see if they're a good fit for you.

For your first classes, just wear something loose-fitting that is comfortable to move around in. Sweatpants and a t-shirt are most appropriate.
We will be barefoot on the mats, but cotton-soled kung fu shoes may be worn for Tai Chi.
Uniforms represent the school in which you are training in. It is disrespectful to wear a uniform of another school while visiting, unless you are specifically asked to do so. Please be considerate and wear something loose-fitting that is comfortable to move around in. Sweatpants and a regular t-shirt are most appropriate.
There is quite the debate over which term Gung Fu or Kung Fu is more accurate. While they both mean generally the same thing (and Kung Fu is more popular), Gung Fu better implies skill derived from hard work and effort over time.
Martial training is first and foremost about developing skills to protect and enhance ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities.
Kindred represents the connections we all have to one another and the commitment we share to improve the world around us.
